Sign in

The Judge's Eye uses passwordless sign-in — no password to remember or lose. You have two options:

• –Email code — enter your email address, receive a 6-digit code, type it in. The code expires after 10 minutes.
• –Sign in with Google — one click, no code needed.

Supported image formats

• –JPEG (.jpg, .jpeg) — recommended
• –PNG (.png)
• –Maximum file size: 20 MB per image
• –Images are resized to 1,024 px on the long edge before analysis. Your original is never stored.

Trial and subscription

New accounts receive 5 free critiques — no credit card required. After that, choose a Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime plan on the Pricing page. Paying users receive up to 200 critiques per calendar month.

Dark mode

Click the sun/moon icon in the top-right nav to switch between light and dark mode. The dark palette uses warm espresso tones — easy on the eyes in low light. Your preference is stored per browser; it won't persist in private/incognito windows.

The critique workflow

Scoring

Each critique scores out of 20 across four dimensions (5 points each), calibrated for Irish and UK camera-club judging.

Lightroom Classic presets

After every critique, the Judge automatically suggests 3–5 built-in Lightroom Classic presets or profiles as a starting point for your edit. Each suggestion includes a one-sentence reason specific to your photograph. These appear in the left sidebar, below the score ring.

Download, share, and rate limiting

• –Download PDF — exports a formatted PDF with score, breakdown, full critique, and any app-specific advice.
• –Share critique — generates a public link anyone can view without signing in.
• –Rate limiting — the AI routes are capped at 10 requests per minute per user. Wait 60 seconds if you hit the limit.

Inline gallery

The history icon in the top-right of the Judge page opens a quick-access panel showing your last critiques with thumbnails. Click any entry to reload it into the main view — the full text, score, and app advice all restore exactly as you left them. This is the quickest way to revisit a recent critique without leaving the page.

Full history page

The History page shows your complete archive — up to the last 100 critiques. Each entry shows the thumbnail, title, score badge, and date. Click to expand the full critique text inline.

• –The progress bar at the top shows your total scored critiques, average score, personal best, and a trend arrow (Improving / Steady / Declining).
• –To delete a critique, expand it and click Delete at the bottom. This permanently removes the record and the image from storage.

Account page

The Account page (via the user menu, top right) shows your current plan, member-since date, critiques used this month, quota reset date, and links to manage your subscription.

• –Free trial accounts see trial critiques remaining
• –Paying accounts see monthly usage and the reset date
• –Beta-grandfathered accounts have full access without a subscription

Feedback and the roadmap

The Feedback button at the bottom of every page lets you report bugs, suggest features, or share general thoughts. Hit the camera icon to attach a screenshot automatically. Every submission goes directly to the developer. Include your email address to hear back when your suggestion ships.

See what's planned, in progress, and shipped on the Roadmap page. You can vote on items and see which suggestions other users have contributed.

Privacy

Images are resized server-side and used solely for AI analysis. The resized version (max 1,024 px) is stored in Cloudflare R2 (EU). Your original is never stored. Critique text and scores are stored in a Neon Postgres database (EU).

Delete any critique at any time from the History page. To delete your entire account, contact joe.houghton@gmail.com. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
