AI photo critique · Calibrated for camera clubs

Get a real critique. Not a compliment.

Upload a photo and a calibrated AI judge scores it out of 20, tells you exactly what's working and what isn't, then gives you specific editing advice for your software. No cheerleading.

“The foreground-to-sky ratio works well, but the highlight detail in the upper-right cloud bank is blown. Pull the highlights down about 4 stops in Lightroom and you'll recover usable texture.”

How it works

Three steps from upload to actionable feedback.

01

Submit your photo

Upload any JPEG or PNG. The Judge reads EXIF data and analyses across four dimensions: technical quality, composition, cropping and processing, and emotion and story.

02

Get your score

You receive a score out of 20, a category breakdown, and a full written critique. Listen to it read aloud, or download it as a PDF.

03

Improve your edit

Select your editing software and get specific post-processing advice. Ask follow-up questions until you understand exactly what to change.

Hear it and keep it

Listen to the critique. Take it away as a PDF.

Gemini TTS reads your critique aloud in a natural voice — useful when you want to hear feedback while looking at the image on a second screen. Every critique, including follow-up Q&A, downloads as a formatted PDF you can keep or share.

  • Natural voice playback via Gemini TTS
  • Formatted PDF with image, score, and critique
  • Includes all follow-up Q&A

Lightroom Classic

Reduce highlights −45, open shadows +30. Apply a custom tone curve lifting the midtones slightly.

Affinity Photo

Use Develop persona → Highlights slider. Blend a luminosity mask on the sky layer.

DxO PhotoLab

Apply Smart Lighting: set mode to Slight. Then use the Exposure Compensation −0.7 EV.

Software-specific

Advice for the software you actually use.

Tell the Judge which editing software you work in, and it gives you specific, actionable advice for that tool — the right sliders, the right panels, the right terminology. Not vague suggestions you have to interpret.

  • Lightroom Classic, Lightroom Cloud, Photoshop
  • Affinity Photo, Luminar, Nik Collection, DxO
  • Select multiple apps and compare approaches
Keep improving

Ask questions. Review your history.

After the critique, ask the Judge anything about it. Why did it score that way? What would the photographer have done differently at the scene? Your critique history syncs to the cloud so you can review it anywhere.

  • Open-ended follow-up Q&A
  • Cloud critique history — across all your devices
  • Image stored alongside every critique
Why did composition score 4 rather than 5?
The rule-of-thirds placement is good, but the horizon isn't quite level — a 1.2° clockwise rotation would tighten it.
Would a longer exposure have helped?
Yes. At ISO 200 and f/11, pushing to 2 seconds would have smoothed the water without blowing the highlights further.
